Hotucolor 8-Color Direct-Flow Acrylic Paint Markers

Super wonderful pens. Easy to use. I enjoy them very much. I've only painted on some rocks so far, but I really like them.

Great but wish they were more opaque.

In short, these markers are a lot of fun. The paint colors are mostly opaque (more on this below) and they are vivid. I like how the paint flows effortlessly and the brush seems to just glide over the surface. The amount of paint dispensed with each stroke is quite generous.I would break down my detailed review as follows:Design: the markers are well-designed. They fit well into the hand and fingers. The barrel is not narrow, yet they are comfortable to use.Paint: vivid colors and the paint seems to dry within a minute, just to be safe and not smudge the painted area. You must shake the marker very well before use. However, I noticed that some colors have a higher level of concentration than others. Please check the attached photo of the color swatches I made. Non of the swatches were done with only one pass. Most of them were done with two passes (layers). You can see that some colors still show streaks or uneven paint application. I didn't go for a third layer (which I'm sure will fix this issue) so that I can show a typical condition of layering the paint.Brush Tip: the tip seems flexible enough and with some care you can get a thin-to-thick-to-thin lines and marks. However, it is a bit tricky and I didn't think the brush tip was responsive enough for me. See the attached photos.Blending: Yes, would be hard to blend acrylic paint pens, but you can see from the attached photos that you can do that to a somehow successful result, with some colors blending better than others. The tip is that you have to do it very quickly before the paint starts to dry.Ease of use: very easy to use as long as you remember to shake the pen well before use. Otherwise the paint will come out inconsistent.Indicator for Replacement: I really love this feature, you can see in the attached pictures that each pen has a plastic window that works as an indicator for the current level of paint. Pretty good and will be easy to figure out when the paint starts to get close to run out.Leakage: none. I used watercolor paper and the paint didn't go through to the other side.Not so Great: two issues for me; first, is the tip not that easy to use to get different line weight. The other one is that each pen cap has a section that stands out. I guess to make it easer to take the cap off. However, you can see from the attached photo, that makes it hard to put back the pens in the box again if they are not lined-up perfectly with that plastic wedge pointing up.Overall, very good and I think this is a great gift idea for artists or anyone interested in painting with acrylic markers.

These paint markers are amazing. The colors are super vibrant and fun to work with. The brush tips make it easy to control the flow, and I love that there's a window to see the ink level. Great for all kinds of surfaces and projects. Highly recommend for anyone who loves to create.

The white one is a bit watery, but I’m learning that it’s just how this type of markers are, so I won’t knock a star off since it’s just the nature of the thing. I’m happy to have bought them.
